Station 14 Flags

Our Story.

Started in a garage. Built by hand. Made in America — for the people who still believe that means something.

The Original Shop

My dad taught me how to work with my hands. That's really the whole beginning of the story. Ever since I was old enough to hold a hammer, we've been out in the garage together — building things, fixing things, figuring things out. A cabin we framed. A sawmill shed. A patio my mom still won't stop bragging about.

Nothing ever felt more right than a Saturday spent covered in sawdust with him. He taught me carpentry. He taught me patience. He taught me that the best things aren't bought — they're built. And if you're going to build something, you build it the right way.

"If it's worth doing, it's worth doing right."

Where It Started.

Station 14 was Dad's idea. He came out to the garage one afternoon with a piece of retired fire hose in his hand — heavy, sun-faded, still stiff from the years it spent in service — and asked me what I thought. Could we make something out of it? Something worth hanging on a wall?

Two days later we had the first one. Stripes hand-painted onto the hose canvas. Stars cut from the tougher inner lining — the part that held the water. Frame torched dark so the grain rises up like it's been through something.

Because it has.

Why We Do It.

Every hose that comes through this shop pulled its share of duty before it ever came to us. Some fought house fires. Some ran through forest lines. All of them served. When we lay one down on the workbench and start cutting, we're not just building a flag — we're giving a piece of American work a second life on somebody's wall.

We build for people who care where their things come from. For dads and grandads. For veterans and firefighters and the families that stand behind them. For anyone who wants to hang something in their home that actually means something — not just something that looks like it does.

"A flag that fought fires. Now it hangs on your wall."

From The Garage To The Studio.

A little while ago we outgrew the garage and moved into a proper studio. More light. More room. Better tools. But the way we work hasn't changed a bit. Every flag is still cut, painted, and burned by hand — one at a time, by the same two guys who started this. No factory. No shortcuts.

That's what Station 14 is. A father and son. A shop. A dog. A promise that the old way of doing things — slow, careful, made to last — is still worth something in a world that mostly forgot.

Thanks for being part of it.
